The Six Week Olympic Weightlifting course provides instruction on performing the snatch and the clean and jerk.
- The classes are held twice a week for six weeks (Sundays 11am-12:30pm and Wednesdays 7pm-8:30pm).
- Designed for athletes new to the sport, the course will help build a foundation of proper technique for performing the Olympic lifts.
- The course is also open to experienced lifters and even coaches to help identify and correct common problematic technique issues and become more efficient in the lifts.
- Course fee is $300 and includes 12 total training sessions.
- No prerequisites.
- Full refund available with 5 business days advance cancellation. The course sessions are non-refundable, non-transferable, and do not rollover. No makeups or refunds for missed sessions.
- Upon completion of the course and evaluation by DC Weightlifting, athletes have the opportunity to join the DC Weightlifting Club if they decide to continue training in the sport.
- Course begins on Wednesday, May 6 and concludes on Sunday, June 14. Please note that the session on Sunday, May 17 will be held from 12pm-1:30pm.
